The holidays are a beautiful time of year with twinkling lights, songs, gifts, and STRESS. Don’t get me wrong, I love the holidays, but often times, the stress of gift giving can rob you of the season’s joys and purpose. For teachers, it is often crunch time for grading, final exams, and holiday events that can take up much of your relaxation time. So in order to relieve some stress this season, if you decide to give gifts, take these into consideration when shopping for family, friends, and even your child’s teachers!
Gift a bottle of peppermint oil as a seasonal foray into health and wellness. Its energizing properties work wonders in academic environments, helping mental clarity and alertness. Used topically, it relieves pain and inflammation from headaches to muscle soreness. Contact your local essential oil seller or contact mine, they’ll help get you started with a bottle or two tailored to your recipient’s needs.

Notably, my favorite accessory piece is the leather teardrop earring from Georgia Plum Jewelry or Nickel + Suede (links below). These earrings are one of my favorite things to give and to receive! They’re lightweight, fun, versatile, and they make a statement! Check out the variety of textures, colors, and patterns each company has in stock for the season. My recommendation is the staple brown leather, or something neutral for those who want to make a “safe” statement.

If you, or someone you know like premium teas, consider Teami Blends. I partnered with them and sampled two blends: Skinny and Colon (for detoxing those holiday treats) and well, it hasn’t even been 30 days (the recommended timeframe) and I am letting you in on the secret. Not only, have I enjoyed the taste, but the results from both blends. I’ll post pics after the 30 days, but trust me— you need these teas for the holidays.

Everyone asks about my skin and the type of makeup I wear… Well, it’s because of this BB cream that every morning my skin looks even, toned, and fresh without looking too cakey. You don’t even have to put powder on top (I do like their matching powder, so I have it as an option for more formal makeup events). It goes on smoothly, you can build the coverage, and it “mattifies” your face and won’t budge! No joke, it lasts all day!

I saved this for last, because in my opinion, it is my most treasured. Call me a sucker, but I love a handwritten message about my class and the overall experience you have within those four walls. What was your favorite lesson? How did you feel in class this semester? What has changed as a result of class time spent together? Maybe it is an influence the teacher has on you. Whatever the message is, make it a positive, reflective note on your teacher. I save every note and reread them often when I need a pick-me-up. They remind me of the importance of a teacher or mentor in one’s life. You could even package this with a baked good, coffee gift card, or simply by itself on beautiful stationery from Minted, my favorite.
